Violeta, a beautiful rumba dancer at the Cabaret Changoo, rescues the baby of her friend Rosa from a garbage can. A pimp forced Rosa to abandon the baby. The protagonist decides to raise the baby under the protection of Santiago, the owner of the cabaret, until he is murdered one day. The cabaret world comes alive in this film because of the sensuality of Ninón Sevilla and the music of the king of mambo, Dámaso Pérez Prado.
