Carlos is a Mexican immigrant living and working illegally in East L.A. with his teenage son Luis. As he tries desperately to eke out a living as a gardener and to provide Luis with the opportunities he never had, Luis himself is in danger of being influenced by the gangs that populate the area. When Carlos? truck is stolen, father and son embark on a symbolic journey across the city to get it back.
