The first-ever feature-length documentary to explore the complex global intersections of Islam and homosexuality. Muslim gay filmmaker Parvez Sharma has gone to the places where the silence about this topic is strongest, including Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, India, France, Egypt, South Africa and Canada, to assemble stories of the hidden lives of lesbian and gay Muslims worldwide. With unprecedented access, Sharma brings to light the lives of gay people who struggle to reconcile their sexuality with their profoundly held faith. In a time when Islam is under tremendous attack, from within and without, A Jihad for Love illustrates the lives of brave and determined people, negotiating a new relationship to Islam

Mexico will no longer exist!

¡Aoquic iez in Mexico! ¡Ya México no existirá más!

A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.”
