Yves Saint Laurent left a valuable legacy to the fashion world: his business- and life-partner Pierre Bergé sold the designer?s art collection after his death in 2008 in what was considered ?the auction of the century.? His art archive represents much more than the spoils of two collectors: It provides a unique portrait of 50 years of torment and joy, success and terrible pain. This engaging and long-overdue tribute mixes interviews with Bergé with archival footage, in order to capture a love story: a mad love for art and fashion, and the love between two men who adored one another.
