Deep into a solo voyage across the Indian Ocean, a man wakes to find his yacht taking on water. With his navigation equipment and radio disabled, he unknowingly sails into a violent storm, which he barely survives. Forced to rely on ocean currents to carry him into a shipping route in hopes of being found by a passing vessel—and facing sharks, a ruthless sun, and dwindling supplies—he soon finds himself confronting his own mortality.
