The king of Spain falls in love with Rosita, a street singer—who, in turn, is in love with Don Diego, a fortuneless nobleman. Don Diego defends her when she is arrested for singing a song that mocks the king. Rosita and Don Diego are sent to prison and he is sentenced to death…

The Doll

Shy young Lancelot doesn’t want to marry. But his uncle, the Baron of Chanterelle, wants to maintain the bloodline, so he commissions a search for bridal candidates. Lancelot flees to a monastery. When the monks learn of the marriage settlement he would receive, they convince him to fake a wedding and marry a life-size doll. The young man chooses one inspired by Ossi, the doll-maker’s daughter, but then it breaks—so Ossi impersonates the doll.

The Love Parade

In the kingdom of Sylvania, the aged cabinet ministers worry over the fact that Queen Louise is not married. Then, Count Alfred returns in disgrace from Paris, where he has carried on numerous affairs with young ladies. Learning of his escapades, the queen invites him to demonstrate his romantic prowess. The cabinet is pleased by their blossoming romance and Louise and Alfred marry, but the power struggle between the sexes and Alfred?s pride could get in the way of their happy ending.
