Nicolás and Antonia are two inseparable friends who, over the years, have witnessed the success and emotional stability of their friends, while they continue to struggle to find meaning in their own lives. After attending dozens of weddings of friends and family members, which only highlight their own singleness and sense of failure, they decide to come up with an ingenious but outrageous plan: to get married. However, they are not looking for a genuine romantic union, but rather to make everyone believe that they've been secretly in love in order to organize an extravagant wedding with the aim of collecting gift money. In the end, Antonia plans to leave Nicolás at the altar. Hoping that the scandal will allow them to keep the money from the gifts, both friends believe this is the perfect opportunity to split the profits and finally get the financial boost they've long needed to pursue their dreams.

Mexico will no longer exist!

¡Aoquic iez in Mexico! ¡Ya México no existirá más!

A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.”
