Germany, 1945. Fifteen-year-old Lore, daughter of high-ranking Nazis, has grown up strongly believing in the Führer. The war is lost and the allies have arrested her parents. Lore and her siblings must take a rough journey to get to where their grandmother lives. Devastation, hunger and grotesque encounters mark their trek through the postwar chaos, and Lore’s slowing unraveling beliefs puzzle her.
