Alice works for a company that develops new plant species. There, she has designed a beautiful red flower with therapeutic properties that can make its owner happy. Alice breaks company rules and gives a flower to her son Joe. As the plant grows, Alice starts to doubt her creation: perhaps the plant isn’t harmless after all.
