Bertrand, a young and reserved student joins Guillaume, his charismatic friend, at the Lucon café in the Latin Quarter. Suzanne sits studying at a table nearby. Guillaume strikes up a conversation with her and then invites her to a party he?s organizing a few days later. He decides to seduce her just for fun and succeeds. While he admires his friend?s Don Juan moves, Bertrand, party to their adventure, finds Suzanne?s behavior irritating because she?s too easy. Meanwhile, he shyly attempts to talk to the pretty Sophie.
