Two doctors make a pact that the first to die will return and share the secrets of the afterlife with the other. One of them dies and a maelstrom of crime and madness is unleashed, complete with possessions, murders, and beyond-the-grave revenge.

Marta is going to Sierra Negra to visit her ailing aunt. Enrique, a travel agent on same train, offers to accompany her. When they reach the station, the couple agrees to continue their journey in a rickety carriage that is transporting a mysterious box from Hungary. Once they arrive at her relatives’ place, Marta finds find out that her aunt is dead. She decides to stay – not realizing that she is now at the mercy of vampires.
