Renfield, a clerk, travels to Count Dracula’s castle in the Carpathian Mountains. After signing papers to take over a ruined abbey near London, Dracula drives Renfield mad and enslaves him. Renfield escorts the count (hidden in a coffin) on a ship to London. There, the count meets the family of his neighbor, Dr. Seward, who runs an asylum. Dracula attacks a female family friend and then the doctor’s daughter.

From there, the count is introduced to the family of his neighbor, Dr. Seward, who runs an asylum. Dracula attacks the family friend, Lucia Weston, and then begins his assault on Eva Seward, the doctor´s daughter.
