After a harrowing ride through the Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe, Renfield arrives at Castle Dracula to discuss the intention of Count Dracula, who is actually a vampire, to lease Carfax Abbey in London. The count hypnotizes Renfield and turns him into one of his slaves, protecting him during his sea voyage to London. After sucking the blood of the young Lucy Weston and turning her into a vampire, Dracula decides to prey on her friend Mina.
