Noelí, a young Dominican girl, wanders the beaches of Las Terrenas making a few dollars at the expense of tourists, one of whom is Anne, an older French woman. Noelí’s boyfriend cooks up a scheme to get Noemí to travel to Paris with Anne and send him back money every month. What starts for Noelí as a relationship of convenience becomes more ambiguous as her departure closes in.
