In the city of Merida, Mexico, a group of young urban Maya, operate mysterious technological instruments to do some sort of archaeological survey of a ruined site. However, the monuments they are scanning are not ancient, but modern replicas. The film walks on the limits between science fiction and documentary to explore the imaginary around Maya culture and their identity today.

Repercussion

A rock of unknown origin traveled through space, struck the Earth, and put an end to three-quarters of all life on the planet. At the site of the impact, a group of explorers venture into the darkness of a Mayan cave to study the acoustics. There, they perform a technical ritual to decipher the possible origins of musical percussion.
