A family tragedy forces the young Elena to become a prostitute. Nonetheless, destiny makes it possible for her to take revenge against those who destroyed her happiness. This film is a classic in cabaret melodrama. The team, comprised of actress Ninón Sevilla, director Alberto Gout and screenwriter Álvaro Custodio, makes a break with the conventions of the genre by having the protagonist avoid a tragic destiny.
