During the late communist period in Romania, the people faced the twisted logic of a dictatorship that forced them to obey orders no matter how illogical or absurd they may be. Under these circumstances, Romanians found refuge in humor and love.

Mia and Florin are both over 50 and a little scared of the technological changes going on around them. The computer is nothing more than a piece of furniture to them, until they have the chance to communicate with their son, Alex, who lives in the United States.

Two railroad workers live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. There is not much to do and the days are pretty much the same. One night a stranger has an accident, an incident that will change their lives forever.
