Ha tomado cursos sobre medios de comunicación indígena en la Universidad Intercultural Indígena de Michoacán y de otras organizaciones como la Red de Radios Comunitarias Boca de Polen. Su primer cortometraje Nana Tsïri (2012) recibió la Mención Honorífica en el Festival de Video y Cine Indígena 2012. Ha colaborado con materiales audiovisuales para diferentes medios como los documentales El guardabosques de Cherán (2013) para el colectivo Mano Vuelta, y Soy autodefensa: viaje por una rebelión armada (2016) en colaboración con Tequio Audiovisual. Ha impartido charlas y conferencias sobre la labor periodística indígena en Michoacán en espacios como el Encuentro de Fotográfico de México, en Cholula, Puebla; la Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México (UACM), etcétera. Su trabajo como fotógrafo ha sido publicado en medios como Cuartoscuro, La Jornada, Proceso, Gatopardo, VICE Latinoamerica y Variopinto. Su cortometraje, Itsïri k’uinchekua (La fiesta del agua), es parte de la Selección Oficial del 14º FICM. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. With a Super-8 camera that once belonged to his father and has remained untouched for 41 years, he plans to retrace the path of the shepherd: the journey of transhumance that his grandfather undertook in his youth, following now-forgotten coordinates.
