En 2010 fue parte del Berlinale Talent Campus organizado por el Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín. En 2016 fue parte del Filmmakers Academy de la edición número 69 del Festival de Cine de Locarno y en el programa Mexicannes del Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF). Ha dirigido ocho cortometrajes, entre los que destacan El maléfico Dr. Machete (2005), Selección Oficial del 16º Festival Internacional de Cortometraje de São Paulo Kino Forum; Raíces (2007), Selección Oficial del 22º Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG); y Transhumantes (2009), Selección Oficial del 7º FICM, Selección Oficial del 5º Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de São Paulo, entre otros, y que obtuvo una nominación al Ariel como Mejor Cortometraje de Ficción, además de una proyección especial en el Clermont Ferrand al ser el ganador en el Kodak Film School Competition 2011; y otra proyección especial en el Festival de Cine de Locarno en el marco del Filmmakers Academy 2016. En el programa Residénce del Cinéfondation del Festival de Cannes realizó la escritura y el proyecto para su segundo largometraje de ficción Cartas desde el país de los tarahumaras. Su ópera prima, El sueño del Mara’akame, es parte de la Selección Oficial del 14º FICM. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. With a Super-8 camera that once belonged to his father and has remained untouched for 41 years, he plans to retrace the path of the shepherd: the journey of transhumance that his grandfather undertook in his youth, following now-forgotten coordinates.
