Su cortometraje Por los caminos del sur (2015), Selección Oficial del 13º FICM, fue ganador del Premio José Rovirosa al Mejor Documental Estudiantil 2015 y fue nominado a Mejor Cortometraje Documental en la 58ª entrega de los premios Ariel; además, ha recorrido festivales como el Festival dei Popoli, en Italia; el Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival en Alemania, y el Pärnu Film Festival en Estonia. Como director de fotografía, sus trabajos Negro (2014) de Daniel Castro, fue ganador del Premio Pantalla de Cristal a Mejor Fotografía, y Nunca regreses (2014) de Leonardo Díaz, Mejor Trabajo en la Sección Michoacana en el 12º FICM, fue parte de una exhibición especial en la edición 54 Semaine de la Critique en el Festival de Cannes, y ganador como Mejor Cortometraje Iberoamericano en la edición 29 del FICG. En la actualidad, se encuentra en la posproducción de Zapatos, su tesis de licenciatura.
