Ha sido becaria por parte del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) y el Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CONACULTA) en dos ocasiones: en el período 2006-2007, para realizar estudios en el extranjero, y de 2010 a 2011 dentro del programa Jóvenes Creadores. Realizadora de cine documental, trabaja mediante la experimentación de narrativas que entrecruzan la mirada antropológica y la búsqueda de formas para expandir el lenguaje audiovisual. Su obra está conformada principalmente por piezas cortas que giran en torno al cine de reapropiación (foundfootage), la video-danza y el ensayo audiovisual. Ganó el Primer Lugar en la 1era Bienal Internacional de Videoarte y Animación Puebla por su cortometraje documental Hermosa danza de la resistencia (2014). Obtuvo, en 2011, el apoyo del Fondo para la Producción Cinematográfica de Calidad (FOPROCINE) del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) para la realización de su ópera prima documental La danza del hipocampo (2014), ganadora del Premio Guerrero de la Prensa y de una Mención Especial en el 12º Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Esta película ha participado, además, en el 29º Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG), Jalisco, y ganó el premio a Mejor Largometraje Documental Mexicano en el 10º Festival Internacional de Cine de Monterrey (FIC Monterrey), Nuevo León. Obtuvo una beca por parte del FICG-IMCINE para asistir 60º Flaherty Film Seminar, Nueva York, en 2014.
