Image Minter; Sarah Dirección, Producción, Edición, Guión Cursó estudios de Cinematografía en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC-UNAM), Ciudad de México; trabajó y estudió con el director de teatro argentino Juan Carlos Uviedo; y tomó dos talleres de Guión en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) de San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, con Jean-Claude Carrière y Giancarlo Guarnieri. Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA), México, desde 2008, con diversos proyectos, entre ellos, su video-instalación Háblame de Amor, presentada en el Centro Cultural Montehermoso, Vitoria-Gasteiz, País Vasco, en 2010; en el Laboratorio Arte Alameda (LAA), Ciudad de México, en 2010; y en la Fundación Antoni Tàpies, Barcelona, España, en 2012. Ha trabajado como jurado de diversos programas y festivales artísticos y cinematográficos en el mundo. En 1996 fundó el Taller de Video de la Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (ENPEG), La Esmeralda, México. Su obra ha recorrido más de 30 muestras, festivales y museos alrededor del mundo. Obtuvo, con su ópera prima documental Nadie es inocente (1986), el Premio González Camarena en el 1er Festival Videofilme, México; el Premio Coral en el 9º Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba; y el Premio Pitirri en el 5º Festival Internacional de Cine y Video de San Juan, Puerto Rico. Su largometraje de ficción Alma Punk (1991) ganó el Premio Rulfo en el 1er Festival Videofilme de Guadalajara, Jalisco, y fue proyectado en diversos museos en el mundo, entre ellos, el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, España, dentro del ciclo de cine “El roce de los cuerpos” de la exposición “Perder la Forma Humana”, en 2012 y 2013. En esta misma exposición, presentó su largometraje documental Nadie es inocente 20 años después (2010), por la que obtuvo el Premio a Mejor Documental Realizado por una Mujer en el 8º Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM); el Premio Zanate en el 4º Festival de Cine y Video Documental Zanate, Colima; Mejor Documental Mexicano en el 2º Festival Internacional de Cine de Puebla (FIC Puebla); y una Mención Especial en el 6º Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, México. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
