Su proyecto FBI recibió el Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund a Desarrollo en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Los Cabos. En el 2018, Gamou recibió el Premio Nacional de Periodismo por la serie documental Nuestra Aventura Musical. Actualmente se encuentra en post-producción de su más reciente largometraje documental Sex Panchitos.
