Su tercer largometraje de ficción Ventanas al mar (2012) fue seleccionado para participar en el 27° FICG; en el 16° Festival Internacional de Cine de Shanghái, China (SIFF por sus siglas en inglés); entre otros. Ha recibido, además, diversas becas para su trabajo cinematográfico, entre ellas, la Beca Jóvenes Creadores en el área de Guion Cinematográfico, del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA), en el periodo 2005-2006, y la Beca para Desarrollo de Guion Cinematográfico de Largometraje, por parte del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE), en 2007. Su obra ha recorrido más de 30 festivales alrededor del mundo.
