Nativo de la lengua maya yucateca, es profesor de educación básica, promotor de museos comunitarios, videoasta y músico. Es miembro fundador de los colectivos TV Turix, desde 2002, y de Tzay Kin, desde 2013, así como del grupo musical Saatal Paax. Actualmente desarrolla programas de radio y arte sonoro en maya yucateco para radio en internet con el colectivo Tzay Kin. Ha participado en dos ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). En el 1er FICM compitió con su cortometraje documental Los remedios (2003). Su trabajo colectivo, Negro del pozo (2004), participó en 13° Festival de Cine y Video Indígena Americano (NAFVF por sus siglas en inglés) del Museo Nacional de los Indios Americanos (NMAI por sus siglas en inglés), Nueva York, del Instituto Smithsoniano. Participó, con su cortometraje de ficción Guardianes del Mayab (2012) en el Foro de los Pueblos Indígenas del 10° FICM; en el 6° Festival Internacional de Cine y Foro de Derechos Humanos de México DHFest; y en el 4° OC Film Fiesta, California, Estados Unidos, entre otros.
