Estudió la licenciatura en Diseño Gráfico, con especialidad en Cine de Animación, en la Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), Ciudad de México. Además de trabajar como documentalista, su obra abarca diversos ámbitos como la pintura y el video-arte. Obtuvo una Mención Especial en el 6° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) por su cortometraje documental Nosotros hablamos la lengua completa (Nej Ñuj Si Amin Nanj Nïïn). Esta obra participó, además, en el 1er Festival Internacional de Cine y Foro de Derechos Humanos de México DHFest; en el 6° Festival Internacional de Documentales de Madrid, Documenta Madrid, España; y en el 2° Festival de Cine Mexicano Cinemaztlán, Amsterdam, Países Bajos.
