Estudió la licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación en el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) y Producción de Cine y Televisión en Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Su obra ha recorrido más de diez festivales en México. Participó en el 8º Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) con su cortometraje de ficción Mi niña (2009), por el que obtuvo el premio a Mejor Cinematografía en el 2º Festival de Cortometraje Universitario Hazficciarte; Mejor Cortometraje, Premio del Público y Mejor Actriz para Evangelina Sosa en el Festival Internacional de Cine Universitario Lanterna; y Mejor Cortometraje en 20 años de la carrera de Ciencias de la Comunicación del ITESM, en 2012. Obtuvo en 2012 el Premio Dioses de México, otorgado por Los Realizadores y el Museo Soumaya, México, por su cortometraje de ficción, protagonizado por Ximena Ayala y Luis Gerardo Méndez, Shakespeare tuvo una hermana (2012).
