Obtuvo, por su cortometraje Algo familiar (2001), el premio a Mejor Documental sobre Derechos Humanos en el 2° Festival FEISAL de la Federación de Escuelas de la Imagen y el Sonido de América Latina, Argentina; una Mención Honorífica en el 3er Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, México; y Mejor Cortometraje en el 5° Festival de Cine Independiente de Chamizal, Ciudad Juárez. Participó, entre otros festivales, en el 8° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) con su cortometraje de ficción Firmes (2010), ganador del premio a Mejor Cortometraje Mexicano en el 13° Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato (GIFF por sus siglas en inglés).
