Su obra ha recorrido más de 40 festivales alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, tres ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Participó en el 1er FICM con su cortometraje de ficción Su radito (2002), ganador del concurso de cortometrajes Máximo 9.85 de la entonces estación de radio Radiactivo, en 2002. En el 2° FICM compitió con Pata de Gallo (2004), ganador en el 3er Concurso Nacional de Proyectos de Cortometraje del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE). Su cortometraje La leche y el agua (2006) participó en el 4° FICM y obtuvo 22 premios nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos, Mejor Cortometraje Mexicano en el 21° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG); una Mención Honorífica en el 10° Festival Internacional de Cine Latino de los Ángeles (LALIFF por sus siglas en inglés); una Mención Especial en el 28° Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba; un Premio Especial del Jurado en el 4° Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Asiana (AISFF por sus siglas en inglés), Japón; y Mejor Cortometraje en el 32° Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, España.
