En el 5° FICM participó con su cortometraje documental El camino mayo con la otra campaña (2007) y en el 6° FICM con Yerbabuena (2007), por la que obtuvo dos menciones honoríficas: en el 2° Festival Internacional de Cine y Foro de Derechos Humanos de México (DHFest), y en el 5° Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, Ciudad de México. Su ópera prima documental, ¡Viva México! (2009), obtuvo, entre otros reconocimientos, el Premio Salvador Allende en el 7° Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Documental y Ficción de Bruselas (LAFF), Bélgica; el Premio del Público en el 27° Encuentro de Cine Latinoamericano, Burdeos, Francia; y una Mención Honorífica en la 13ª edición del Premio José Rovirosa, de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
