Ha obtenido becas del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) y su obra ha participado en más de 50 festivales y muestras alrededor del mundo. Su cortometraje de ficción El rey de Zinacantán (2003), que participó en el 2° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), obtuvo, entre otros, el premio Manuel Barbachano Ponce a Mejor Obra del 6º Festival Geografías Suaves, Mérida. En el 6° FICM participó con Chimbumbe (2008), ganador del Premio India Catalina a Mejor Cortometraje de Ficción en el 50° Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias (FICCI), Colombia, y nombrado Mejor Cortometraje en la muestra latinoamericana del 19º Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de São Paulo, Brasil, entre otros. Actualmente es becario del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte y trabaja en la postproducción de su ópera prima Siete filos . Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
