De G.). Es autor del libro El cine mexicano de Luis Buñuel. Estudio de los argumentos y personajes (1994). Obtuvo la beca de Cine, Video y Multimedia por parte de las fundaciones Rockefeller y MacArthur, en 1997. Es miembro actualmente del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA), México. Su obra ha recorrido más de 20 muestra y festivales alrededor del mundo. Su ópera prima Adán y Eva (todavía) (2004) ganó un Reconocimiento Especial del Jurado en el 8º Festival de Cine Independiente The Method Fest, California, y estuvo nominada a siete premios Ariel en la 52ª entrega de los premios Ariel, México, y ganó Mejor Vestuario. Fue premiado en el 1er Festival Internacional de Cine de Cancún Riviera Maya, México; el Premio del Jurado Joven Europeo en el 16° Festival de Biarritz de Cine y Culturas de América Latina, Francia; y una Mención Especial del Jurado en el 3er Festival de Cine de Tremblant, Canadá, por su segundo largometraje La sangre iluminada (2007). Estrenó su largometraje documental Zacateco (Labor Vincit Omnia) (2010) en el 8º Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Participó, entre otros festivales, en el 4º Festival Internacional de Cine UNAM (FICUNAM), México, con su largometraje documental La mañana no comienza aquí (2014). Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
