Estudió la licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) y una maestría en Guión y Dirección para Cine en el Instituto Mexicano de Investigaciones Cinematográficas y Humanísticas (IMICH), Morelia. Cursó, entre otros estudios, un diplomado en Literatura y Cine en la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMICH). Participó en el 9° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), como productor y editor con la película de animación de Alba Sovietina Estrada Cárdenas, SER O NO ser; y como director con su cortometraje documental Aquí en mi tierra: La memoria y la palabra, que participó también en el 9° Festival Internacional de Cine Pobre de Gibara, Cuba. Obtuvo el 1er Lugar en el 2° concurso Desafía Exprés del 1er Festival Internacional de Cine UNAM (FICUMAN), con el cortometraje El abuelo (2011). Actualmente se encuentra en etapa de preproducción de su ópera prima Óleos en la oscuridad.
