Participó, entre otros festivales, en el 28° Festival de Cine Latino de Chicago y en el 62° Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín, con su ópera prima Canela (2012); ganadora del Premio del Jurado Infantil en el 16° Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto - Kids (TIFF Kids por sus siglas en inglés) y nominada a cuatro diosas de plata en la 43ª entrega de las Diosas de Plata, México.
