Obtuvo el premio a Mejor Trabajo de la Sección Michoacana en el 10° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) por su cortometraje de ficción Epilepsia (2012); que se presentó además en el 10° Festival Anual en Nueva York de Arte, Ideas y Cultura Contemporánea Mexicana Celebrate Mexico Now; en el 4° Festival de Cine Independiente de Berlín (BIFF por sus siglas en inglés); y en el 28° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG). Participó, con el proyecto de su largometraje documental La silla vacía (2014), en el DocuLab.3 en el marco del 27° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG). Actualmente se encuentra trabajando en la pre-producción de su ópera prima Negro.
