Image Michel Grau; Jorge Dirección, Edición, Fotografía, Guión Estudió la licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Cinematografía en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) en la Ciudad de México y la especialización en Dirección Cinematográfica en la Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña (ESCAC). Fue becario del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) en 2004, formó parte del Taller Seminario para Jóvenes Productores Morelia Lab en el 3er Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) y participó en Guadalajara Talents 2008. Ha presentado su obra en cinco ediciones del FICM: Mi hermano (2005) en el 3er FICM; Ya ni Pedro Pablo (2003) y Kalimán (2006) en el 4° FICM; 72 (2011) y Chalán (2012) en el 10° FICM; y su ópera prima Somos lo que hay (2010) en el 8° y en el 11° FICM. Somos lo que hay también se presentó en la 42ª Quincena de Realizadores del Festival de Cannes y viajó a más de 60 festivales alrededor del mundo; obtuvo, entre otros premios, el Gran Premio del Jurado en el 18° Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Gérardmer, Francia; el Premio Especial del Jurado Silver Hugo en el 46° Festival Internacional de Cine de Chicago (CIFF por sus siglas en inglés); Mejor Ópera Prima en el 13° Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato (GIFF por sus siglas en inglés), y el premio Séquences a Mejor largometraje Internacional en el 14° Festival Internacional Fantasía de Montreal.
