Su obra ha recorrido más de 40 muestras y festivales alrededor del mundo y ha participado en dos ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Obtuvo una Mención Especial en el 3er FICM con su cortometraje documental Últimas memorias vivas (2004). Compitió, en la misma edición del FICM, con su largometraje documental, en co-dirección con Adrián Arce y Diego Rivera Kohn, Voces de la guerrero (2004). Éste fue ganador del Premio SIGNIS a Mejor Documental, una Mención Especial y el Premio Serguei Eisenstein en el 3er Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, México, y del Premio José Rovirosa 2004 de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
