In her presentation, Chlöe Roddick highlighted the beauty and originality of the work: “It is a poetic, simple and beautiful work that is difficult to categorize." The film tells the story of a Black American woman from childhood to adulthood through lyrical and timeless portraits.

The film's producer spoke of its narrative style: “Moments are arranged in a mosaic that intrinsically builds itself up piece by piece. It allows the present, past and future to merge into a kind of eternal now.”

Finally, Adele Romanski took the opportunity to highlight the beauty of the lyrically constructed film: “The film is a poem, it will stretch out its hand and offer it to you. I urge you to take it as a warm embrace,” she concluded.
