González is added to the feature film competition at the 11th FICM

The feature film González, Christian Díaz Pardo’s film debut, is now part of the Official Selection of this edition.

González, a young man who lives anonymously in the largest city of the world, is desperate to become someone and liquidate his debts. He starts working in a church that is dedicated to selling false spirituality. González discovers a new way to survive and he will do anything that is necessary to get ahead. The protagonists are Harold Torres, Carlos Bardem and Olga Segura.

The film is part of the CCC film school’s Opera Prima Project and was selected in the competition of Unedited Screenplays at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana (2010), among others.

Christian Díaz studied cinematography at the CCC film school and specialized in directing. His thesis Antes del desierto (2009) received Honorable Mention and participated in various national and international film festivals. His filmography includes: Bohemios (2007), Vuelta de rueda (2006), Declaración jurada (2005), and Los esquimales y el cometa (2004).
