Adapted from a story by Carreño, the film was directed by Julio Bracho and stars Jaime Fernández, Enrique Rocha, Lucía Guilmain, and Andrés Soler. Though the actress has been absent from the national film scene for some time, she continues to work as an animator and director in Los Angeles, California. Carreñó immigrated to the US for personal reasons. ¨My son needed a lot of care,¨ she said. ¨He was growing up and I wanted to spend more time with him, I felt that was my mission. Family goes first. I had a very busy public life here, but felt I was neglecting things at home.¨ Carreñó stated that she might go back to acting: ¨I´ve been offered a few roles, I might work with Alejandro Ramírez, Roberto Fiesco and Julián Hernández. We´re going to get together soon, they want to show me some scripts¨. Meche Carreño said she didn´t mind being labeled a national sex symbol in the 1970´s and 80´s. When asked if she would appear naked in a film again, she answered: ¨If the story demands it, why not?¨
