The event took place at the red carpet installed at the Cinépolis Centro, located in the historic center of the Michoacán capital. As guests of honor, filmmakers Alfonso, Carlos and Jonás Cuarón thanked the festival for its work and said that they felt at home at each new edition. Alfonso Cuarón unveiled the plaque and said he would be waiting for the next unveiling. Daniela Michel ended the ceremony by extending an invitation to the audience to continue watching films.
