1. Why did you decide to tell this story?

Because it was an ordinary story with touches of surrealism and magic. I always look for stories that combine elements of reality with fantastic situations or with those that are out of the ordinary.

2. How did you go about organizing your work team?

They came from several areas; some I had already had the opportunity of working with before and others by recommendation. Every member of the crew is a professional in their area, which you can see in their ability to make such a complicated film.

3. What was the biggest challenge you faced making the film?

The act itself of making this short film was a monumental challenge. Every stage was complicated: looking for economic resources, convincing members of the crew to give their time and work to this project, having a plan to film for two days with 90 shots to film, ensuring that the special effects in the set appear real in front of a camera and, above all, making an intelligent, tastefully done comedy.

4. What kind of films would you like to continue making?

Ordinary stories with magical, surreal and fantastic elements.

5. What does it mean to you having been selected to participate in the 10th edition of FICM?

On the one hand, it is a dream come true because this is the first time that a work of mine has been selected at FICM, after having attempted several times. It is also a great honor because it's a very prestigious and highly acclaimed festival. Finally, being selected for the competition is the best prize that Arroz could receive, a project that many people made from their hearts.
