Image Kasuski; Carlos He studied film directing at the Katowice Film School, Poland, where he took classes with renowned filmmakers, like Polish director Andrzej Wajda. He has received, among other awards, an Honorable Mention at the 3rd National Screenwriting Competition for Short Films of the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), for his screenplay El sillón (1996), Mexico; Third Place at the 2nd Kodak Student Publicity Contest, Poland, for his commercial Levi’s y nada más (1998); the Jury Special Award at the 2nd Euro Underground Film Festival, Poland, for his short film Tommy the Boy (1997); and two awards at the 1st Student Short Film Festival of the University of Silesia in Katowice: Third Place for his short film Evolución (1999) and a Jury Special Award for his short film Flamenco (2001). He participated in the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short fiction film Frente al espejo (2013), his first film since returning to Mexico in 2012.
