Gutiérrez, Diego

He is a filmmaker, visual artist, and photographer, and is currently a member of the National System of Art Creators, in Mexico. He has participated in three editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and he has received several awards around the world. He participated in the 3rd FICM with his documentary Las canciones del valle de los perros (2005). He won a Special Mention at the 10th FICM, a Fipresci Prize for Best Documentary at the 44th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Golden Calf for Best Documentary at the 33th Netherlands Film Festival for his documentary Partes de una familia / Parts of a Family (2012). His feature length documentary Sporen (2014), co-directed by Danniel Danniel, won a Special Mention at the 12th FICM.
