Image Capó; Yordi He studied audiovisual arts and received a master’s degree in cinematographic studies from the University of Guadalajara (U. de G.), Mexico. His work has been shown at more than 10 film screenings and festivals around the world. He participated in the 12th San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) and the 19th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) with his short film Más por tu dinero (2003), which was a finalist in the Máximo 98.5 competition of the radio station Radioactivo, in 2003. His short film Algo familiar (2001) won the Best Documentary on Human Rights Award at the 2nd FEISAL Festival of the Latin American Image and Sound Schools Federation, Argentina; an Honorable Mention at the 3rd Independent Hispanic AmericanFilm and Video Festival, “All Voices Against the Silence,” in Mexico City; and Best Short Film at the 5th Chamizal Independent Film Festival, Ciudad Juárez. He participated in the 8th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), among other festivals, with his short fiction film Firmes (2010), which won the Best Mexican Short Film award at the 13th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF).
