Alós, María José

She studied photography at the Active Photography School in Mexico City, and sculpture and visual arts at “La Esmeralda” National School of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics (ENPEG). She won the 1st Honorable Mention in the Raymond Weil International Photography Contest 2008, Switzerland, for her photographic series En relación (2007). She received support from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) for the exhibition of her video installation Autorretrato apropiado (2013) at the Toronto Arts Council Gallery within the 14th aluCine Latin Film + Media Arts Festival. Her work has participated in more than 10 film festivals and showings throughout the world, including the 3rd Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), where she presented her short films Poesía en movimiento (2004) and Orgasmo: paisaje psicológico 2 (2005).
