Rojo Aura, Rubén

He studied cinematography at the Russian Mexican Institute of Film and Acting Sergei Eisenstein in Mexico City. His work has been presented at more than 20 festivals around the world, including two editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated with his short fiction films El camino (2006) and Carretera del norte (2008) in the 5th FICM and the 6th FICM respectively. This last film won more than 10 national and international awards, including a Silver Goddess for Best Short Film at the 37th Silver Goddess Awards Ceremony, Mexico; Best Short Film award at the 12th Tour de Cine Francés and at the 7th International Film Festival on Human Rights (DHFest), Mexico City; the Audience Award at the 6th Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF), Seoul, and the 11th South American Film Encounters, Marseille; and Best Iberoamerican Short Film Award at the 21st Aguilar del Campoo International Short Film Festival, Spain.
