Image Carrillo Levy, Dan He received a fine arts degree with a specialty in film and television from the Southern Methodist University (SMU), Texas. He obtained an award from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the creation and production of the television segment El reporterito, during the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. He participated in the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short fiction film Hora cero (2013), which was presented at more than 20 festivals around the world, including the 4th New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF); the 16th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF); the 21st San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF); and the Short Film Corner at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. He received the Silver Aca Award at the 6th Las Vegas Film Fest (LVFF) and the Audience Award at the 10th Hollyshorts Film Festival (HSFF), Miami, among others, for this film.
