Alejandro Ramírez, Rosalie Vardá, Daniela Michel Among those in attendance were producer, writer, actress and daughter of the film's star, Rosalie Varda, accompanied by Alejandro Ramírez, president of FICM, and Daniela Michel, founder and general director of the festival. "My mother loved Mexico and visited it for the first time when she came to present Les parapluies de Cherbourg in 1965. This creates strong ties between this country and France, but the real bond is that there is a great film tradition here and I am grateful that Alejandro and Daniela continue to foster the desire and curiosity of cinema," said Rosalie Varda. Mathieu Demy and Rosalie left this documentary in the hands of director Pierre-Henri Gibert hoping that the life of the driving force behind the French New Wave would be portrayed from a new perspective. "Pierre didn't know my mother and thanks to that, he was able to portray my mother's life and work through a new gaze," she added. Alejandro Ramírez, Rosalie Vardá, Daniela Michel To conclude, Rosalie Varda was presented with a surprise from FICM: an embroidered jacket with designs that represent and honor Agnès Varda's work in film.
