The Swiss-born director, actor and producer began his career in French cinema in the 1960s and has been a dear friend of FICM since 2003, when he presented his feature film Our Lady of the Assasins (2000).

Clay-Mendoza spoke about the Trilogy of Evil, Barbet Schroeder's series of films that focus on three characters she describes as "deplorable," which are set against the "more luminous" character that the director of Our Lady of the Assasins (1999) presents to us through Ricardo Cavallo, his close friend who has dedicated his entire life to painting.

This documentary was filmed in the midst of the pandemic, so they had a very small crew consisting of Barbet, Victoria, a local soundman and two assistants.
